Rejoice with Trembling (Psalm 2)

Group Guides | Sharing the gospel, sharing our lives (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

By way of introduction: What are some ongoing fears that society has? What are some of our ongoing fears?

Read Psalm 2

1)      As you look at Psalm 2 in your Bibles, you can see how there are different stanzas or sections. Take the time to look and see who’s perspective is being presented in each section.

2)     Why do the nations rage?

3)     People of this world make their plans, but what are God’s plans revealed to us from Psalm 2?

4)     How can we read this Psalm through the gospel of Christ?

5)     Psalm 2 is quoted in Acts 4. As you read Acts 4, how is Psalm 2 used in application for the church?

6)     What will mean for us to ‘take refuge in him’ (verse 12)

7)     As we live in this world, with all our own fears, how does verse 11 change our fears – and our emotions attached to our fears?

Pray for one another.
