WMV Conference: One Another
As believers, we are commanded to love one another.
Jesus gives us the model, the example, the motivation, and the reason for loving one another. And He gives us the power to do so by his Holy Spirit living in us.
Join us at our 2026 On the Road conferences, as we wrestle together through what it means to love one another – our families, our church, our communities, and people from every tribe and nation. To love others so much, that we are delighted to share not only the gospel, but our lives as well…so that the light of Jesus will shine into the lives of those living under the shadow of darkness.
Our keynote speaker Natalie will share from Scripture, and from her family’s experience over the years to encourage you about how God is constantly at work through us when we unreservedly love one another, by His grace and power.
On the Road also includes an interactive workshop time. Our workshop leaders will be looking at some of the other One Another commands; Forgive One Another, Encourage One Another and Be Humble to One Another.
The day runs from 9:15AM-3:30PM. Tickets are $50 per person for a catered ticket, or $35 BYO food.
Book here for the Benalla conference and talk with Aimee about car-pooling:

When It's Trauma | Darby Strickland (in Melbourne)
Every Sunday, Men and Women scarred by crises and betrayals worship among us. Our Lord not only calls us to help them but equips us to do so. Out of her careful study of Scripture and years of counselling experience, Darby Strickland has written a comprehensive resource to help counselors, church leaders, and laypeople understand the unique wounds of trauma-and then to come alongside sufferers with effective, thoughtful care that shows the love of Christ.
When It’s Trauma – A day seminar with Darby Strickland.
Darby is a respected counselor, author, and faculty member with the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF). Her work has equipped countless churches to recognise and respond wisely to trauma and domestic abuse within their congregations. This event will be a valuable opportunity for pastors, elders, ministry leaders, and pastoral carers to strengthen their understanding and sharpen their shepherding skills.
Why this event matters for church leaders:
Trauma is increasingly present in the lives of those we serve.
Many of us feel under‑resourced when complex situations arise.
Darby offers biblically grounded, practical frameworks that help churches care well.
You’ll gain tools to support survivors while also navigating the wider pastoral implications.
Location: Melbourne CBD (Collins St)
Date & Time: Sat 5th Sep 9am-4pm
Cost: from $58pp (ministry group ticket discount)
*Earlybird discount ends this week*

Gathered Prayer
At our Prayer Service, we’ll sing a song together (perhaps a song that is a prayer) and have a short talk from the Westminster Confession of Faith as it teaches through biblical doctrine. There’ll be time for Q&A, but most of all we will devote half of our evening service to prayer (appoximately 30min).
We’ll pray through Scripture, take prayer requests and be led in prayer from the front. We’ll pray in small groups, in large groups and in small moments of silent personal prayer.
Everyone is welcome, kids are welcome. So, come along, bring your requests before God, we will be expectant in prayer together, we will not be anxious about anything, for we will pray about everything.

Gathered Prayer
At this month’s Prayer Service we’ll hear a short sermon expounding texts in a systematic way on the doctrine of Providence, from the WCF chapter 5.
We love to pray, and for those who don’t yet love to pray (but would secretly like to), this is for you too. Prayer is an expression of faith, of reliance on God our Father who cares for His children.
We live such full and busy lives that we must pray. The Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:6, ‘do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.’
We see how good prayer is, by seeing how good God is, and you’re invited to come and pray with us too at our weekly Prayer Service.
At our Prayer Service, we’ll sing a song together (perhaps a song that is a prayer) and hear a short message from the Bible.

Happy Birthday Reforming
Reforming is becoming a teenager, 13 years old!
On the first Sunday in February, 2013, Reforming Church launched with its first service of gathered worship. It was the day of small things, and we rejoiced.
Since then our testimony is that everything we have is a testimony to God’s grace. Even that we could plant a church, even that Reforming still exists as a local church, even that we have the blessings of Reforming House and being a family of God’s precious people. All of this is God’s grace to us.
