Our Prayers

1 Timothy 2:1-4 ~ supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all people.

 Thanksgiving
 to God

Psalm 100; Philippians 4:6 ~ coming to God with thanksgiving.

- Give thanks that we have assurance of forgiveness and renewed relationship with God, and with one another, through the gospel of Christ.

- Give thanks for the Board of Management and the new financial year budget, and pray that we would invest in what we value most as a church.

Church life
, Reforming life

Galatians 6:10: especially to those who are of the household of faith.

- Pray that each Lord's Day we would meet Jesus in the Bible and be really changed by His Spirit working in us and through us.

- Pray for the preaching of God’s word from the Book of Revelation, that as we see the Lamb standing victorious, we as a church would endure and stay faithful, with our eyes on Christ.

- Pray that we would grow as a healthy church with a gospel culture, more like Christ.

- Pray for the leaders of Reforming Church, that they would continue to lead with love.

- Pray for the ministry of Members, that God would strengthen them in their inner being, so that we would be a church where members care for one another in our sins and sufferings.

- Pray for more Kids Church teachers and leaders.

- Pray that we would be a safe church, safeguarding the little ones and all the vulnerable.

- Pray that God would provide for the poor and needy, the sick and suffering, through us His church.

- Pray that Christ would care for and provide for those struggling in their mental health.

- Pray for healing, care and comfort for those suffering from cancer in our congregation: Bronwen McCoy and Rachel McRohan.

- Pray for those dear to our congregation, particularly Anthony Talliopoulos (Reforming member Anthea Lourey's brother), who has been diagnosed with leukemia. Pray for him as he undergoes a bone marrow biopsy and starts chemo. Anthony is recently engaged, so also please pray for his fiancée (Acacia).

Our wider Community and Society

- Pray for the protection of the unborn and for the care of women in vulnerable situations.

Evangelism, as we love the lost

Acts 1:8 ~ witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea; Romans 1:16-17; James 5:16.

- Pray for our evangelism as a church. James writes that "the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working" (James 5:16). Pray for the power of the gospel to save everyone who believes in Christ (Romans 1:16-17), and that God would heal the spiritual sickness that leads to eternal death and save sinners in our society.

- Pray for our planning, bringing and being on-team for Christianity Explored in Term 4, that many would come and trust in Jesus.

- Pray for all the Playgroup families.

- Pray that the Lord would add to our number those who are being saved, gathered from every generation, for healthy intergenerational discipleship.
