Training for Kids Ministry, 5th March

Article by Aimee Grinter

Hey Reforming families & kids church helpers,

THIS SUNDAY Kid’s Church Training Session March 5th 12.30-2pm (max) @ Reforming House.

This is for teachers, helpers and those interested in Kids Ministry! Please BYO Lunch or eat up at morning tea ;)

We will be looking at:

- Why do we do kids ministry?

- Teaching the gospel in the context of relationship

- Developmental stages, needs and discipleship

- Behavioural challenges: How all behaviour is communication

- Creating safe spaces for neurodivergent kids

As we head into a new unit in Kids Church we also have a new memory verse!

Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

And it will certainly get stuck in your head with this echo song.

This is a great one to learn as a family.
