What does it mean to glorify God?

What does it mean to glorify God? It takes me back to the 90’s. For back in the 90’s we had these things called photo albums.

Today I can take so many photos of fun things in life, that they’re on my phone to be put on hard drives, and then one day…. we’ll I’m not sure what will happen to those hard drives full of photos, but they’ll be stored someday I’ll definitely die one day. So there’s that.

But oh, back in the 90’s we had photo albums! Just what were the photo albums for? For pulling out and showing people what we love. What we saw was valuable in our lives, what we wished to share that others would enjoy too.

It’s now that I notice that in all those albums we never have photos of our food - not even a coffee… Yet we found joy in sharing our lives - and that’s what it’s like to glorify God and enjoy Him.

It is to look at God and with others share in the joy of seeing him in Scripture, of sharing this joy, and speaking about our love, worship and joy in him – so that others can too.

Your pastor and friend,

Russ
