Being a Spiritual Person (1 Corinthians 2)

Group Guides | Sharing the gospel, sharing our lives (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

By way of introduction: If you were to introduce as a spiritual person, what would people thin you meant by that?

Read 1 Corinthians 2

1.      Paul didn’t come to the Corinthians as a spiritual guru, rather he says he came with some fears. How would you describe his ministry and message from verses 1 – 5?

2.      What is the difference between worldly wisdom and godly wisdom?

3.      How do we understand godly wisdom?

4.      Why does not everybody understand the wisdom of God (verse 14)?

5.      In verse 16 Paul quotes from Isaiah 40:13, so in what ways are we tempted to “instruct” God?

6.     What does it mean to have the mind of Christ?

7.      When we think about our family and friends, how does this passage encourage us to serve them?

Pray that we would have a culture of Christ in us as believers, in our households and in our church. Pray that we truly would be reforming by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pray for one another.
