Re:forum on Evangelism

A forum on evangelism by the church and for the church, for we love the lost.

Instead of Church Camp this year, we’re hosting the Reforming Weekend! To do that we’re going to have not just church on Sunday, but the church gathered for the whole weekend of October 25th-27th. That’s right friends, that weekend is of course Reformation Weekend. We do love the Reformation here at Reforming Church.

Our focus for the weekend this year (apart from all the fun together) will be a forum on encouraging and equipping our evangelistic life. It will be a wonderful time of warm fellowship where elders will teach on evangelism, and members of Reforming will present short talks on future thinking and practice for our evangelism as a church.

Our aims of Reforming Weekend are:

1. To host a fun weekend that is fellowship-full, like a church camp, yet accessible for all members and adherents by reducing the costs of time in travel and accommodation.

2. To host forum-based sessions across the weekend, where our 2024 theme of evangelism will thread through our theological and pastoral thinking time.

3. To highlight, speak about, engage with Q&A and pray for the evangelism that is happening in and through Reforming Church – by taking one of the factors for evangelism-shy Christians out of the room, the “expert factor”. To do this we’ll have forums that are by Reforming Members, for Reforming Members.

We would love to have your ideas, involvement and gifts that God has given you to encourage and bless the body of Christ across the whole of Reforming Weekend. We’re grateful that a few people have already started getting involved by going to the Reforming Weekend webpage since being launched on Sunday. Thank you Reforming for giving great ideas and signing up to serve for our weekend together.

There is more to come about the weekend over the next six weeks in the lead-up, keep a look out for special announcements and what’s on for Reformation Weekend in October.
