Group Guides | Sharing the gospel, sharing our lives

So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

Our Group Guides are just that, a guide to help us be equipped & encouraged by God’s gospel word.

By way of introduction: What can you never have too much of in life?

Read John 6:41-71

  1. As you read this episode just now, what did you notice are the type(s) of bread that Jesus describes himself as?

  2. What are the things ‘the Jews’ are struggling with in verse 52?

  3. Jesus makes a regular comparison with the manna from heaven and himself, how does this help us understand what he’s talking about in terms of eating his flesh and drinking his blood?

  4. See again Peter’s response to Jesus in verse 68 and talk over where else we tend to go for life, that doesn’t go well for us?

  5. Jesus helps us understand how we actually apply what he is saying in throughout this episode, in verse 63. Discuss what this means for us a church, in applying Jesus’ words.

Pray for one another, our church family, and our friends who need words of eternal life to chew on.
